Angela Witzel will be teaching students to build their own "Log Cabin" quilt square mosaic at Dogwood Exchange, 4898 Hwy 127 S Crossville, TN on Friday, October 23rd from 3-6 CST.
This quilt square is the first pattern offered in a series. Each class stands alone and does not require attendance to other classes.
This beloved quilt square gained popularity the second half of the 19th century. This square is known for having a dark and a light side. It represents home, resourcefulness and community. This block embodies the spirit of our beloved Homesteads community and why we selected it as our first square.
Students will have multiple color options to choose from but will recreate the traditional pattern shown. Students will NOT cut the glass tiles for this project making this square a beginner friendly project. The glass portion of this mosaic measures 8"x8". The mosaic will be framed with a rustic oak trim.
The fee for this class is $50 with all materials provided. The student limit for this class is 6.
THIS CLASS WILL BE HELD IN THE STONE HOMESTEADS HOUSE. STUDENTS CAN ENTER THE ENTRANCE MARKED 4898 Hwy 127 S RATHER THAN THE ENTRANCE CLOSEST TO THE DOLLAR GENERAL.
Students are welcome to bring beverages of their choice along with snacks. A refrigerator and microwave are available for use.
